Rabu malam (02/02/11) bertempat di KFC Kemang Jakarta Selatan, penyanyi multitalenta Agnes Monica meluncurkan album The Best of Agnes Monica bertajuk Agnes Is My Name. Album ini merupakan kumpulan lagu-lagi hits milik Agnes hasil kerja sama Aquarius, KFC dan Swara Sangkar Emas.

Agnes malam itu mengaku sangat antusias dengan peluncuran album the best-nya yang diawali dengan penampilan panggung sebanyak 5 lagu di depan para Nez, julukkan fans clubnya.

"Album the best kayaknya too much banget. Saya sangat berterima kasih kepada Aquarius yang sejak 'Pernikahan Dini' sampai sekarang tetap mempercayakan saya di sini dan beberapa pihak yang berkerja sama dengan baik di sini," ungkap Agnes.

Selain itu di malam Gong Xi Fa Cai yang diwarnai hujan rintik, Agnes juga mengumumkan diri untuk pertama kalinya impianya menembus level internasional jebol. Ia dikontrak Sony/ATV Music Publisihing merilis album Paralzyed hasil kerja sama Agnes dan Beto Cohen, penulis lagu Madona, Like a Prayer versi 2008.

Perlu diketahui bahwa Sony/ATV pernah meluncurkan album the Beatles Hits, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Diane Warren dan lain-lain. Sony/ATV merupakan perusahaan gabungan dari Sony Corporation dan perusahaan milik Michael Jackson.

Untuk go internasionalnya itu Agnes telah menjalani rekaman di Red Bus Recording Studios, salah satu studio rekaman di London yang terkenal di dunia tempat Duran-Duran, Spandau Ballet, Banaram, Brian Wilson, Culture Club, George Michael, dan N-Dubz memproduksi lagu-lagu.

BattLe Of tHe BoY GrouPs

An early forecast reveals that the beginning of 2011 will be marked with an influx of girl group debuts, but with the return of various male groups looming near, fans will get their full doses of testosterone in the near future as well.
Rookies including MBLAQ, Teen Top and Infinite have been generating lots of chatter and interest with their ongoing comebacks this month.
MBLAQ’s title track “Cry” was released just two days ago and has already secured high rankings on various charts including those of Mnet and Bugs. Their full album “BLAQ Style” will be released on the 10th with a live comeback on the 13th.
Teen Top, whose members got kpop fans doing double takes with their silver hair concept, released a MV teaser today for their comeback track ”Transform.” Due to member Niel’s injury, the group has pushed back their live comeback to the 13th.
Finally, Infinite will be returning with their second six-track mini-album “Evolution,” with concept photos and preview videos attracting much attention. Their comeback showcase is schedule to take place in just a few hours today at Seouls’ CGV.
On the other end, news of the impending returns of TVXQ and Big Bang, arguably the two largest male groups of the Korean music scene in recent years, has already been dominating headlines in regards to their comeback albums. TVXQ and Big Bang’s last albums, “Mirotic” and “Remember”, were released in September and November 2008 respectively, so these returns mark the end of two year hiatuses for both groups.
The special edition of TVXQ’s “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” album has been released with the HoMin duo gearing up for a comeback on Music Bank on January 7, followed by appearances on Music Core, Inkigayo and possibly M! Countdown due to reconciliations between SME and Mnet. Choreographed by Rino Nakasone of the Beat Freaks, “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” also caught the attention of American gossip blogger Perez Hilton.
Big Bang’s sub-unit duo GD&TOP made waves with the release of “High High,” “Oh Yeah” and “Knock Out” last month, complete with the most expensive comeback stage in Mnet M. Countdown’s history. After Japanese promotion plans were delayed, it was also announced that GD&TOP will have a second round of promotions for “Don’t Go Home.” Furthermore, Big Bang’s maknae Seungri will be releasing a mini-album on January 13, and the entire group will be making a full comeback soon thereafter.
Unsurprisingly, TVXQ & Big Bang’s returns are being met with overwhelming receptions — “Keep Your Head Down” recorded massive sales immediately after release, and GD&TOP enjoyed 200,000 pre-orders for their album.
Like the 2009 domination of countless new girl groups including 2NE1, 4minute, f(x) and After School , it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of female debuts this year, but will 2011 mark the return of a boy group craze as well?

B2ST To reTuRn wiTh EncoRe CoNcerT, “WeLcoMe BACK To BEAST AirLinE”

B2ST has announced that they will be embarking on an encore run of their highly successful “B2ST Airline” concert!
The announcement was put up on the morning of January 6th through Cube Entertainment’s official homepage and through B2ST fancafes as well.
The concert was a huge success last year – it was hyped successfully through clever marketing, and the boys delivered impressive performances. It was even picked as the #1 concert music fans wanted to attend, according to a concert ticketing website.
Unfortunately, only 10,000 fans could attend the first concert, but B2ST plans to give fans another opportunity to catch the event through their Asian tour. Titled, “Welcome BACK to BEAST Airline“, the boys will kick off the tour with a two-day concert at Seoul’s Olympic Athletics Stadium on February 18th and 19th.
Details on the rest of the concert dates have yet to be revealed, but international fans are queuing up for tickets to the Seoul shows.

TVXQ ReLeasEs “KeEp YouR HeaD DowN” aLbuM

After two years and three months, TVXQ has finally returned to the Korean music industry with the help of some of the biggest names in the industry.
TVXQ’s album features composers Yoo Young Jin, Kenzie, Park Chang Hyun, E-TRIBE, and Outsidaz, who all collaborated in bringing out the charismatic vocals of the duo while attempting new and exciting genres.
Park Chang Hyun, who previously composed the group’s debut track, “Hug,” has returned once more for the group’s ballad track, “How Can I.”
Yunho’s solo song, “Honey Funny Bunny,” is a trendy song of the ’slow jam’ genre and is composed by E-TRIBE.  The unique title refers to a man’s description of the woman he falls in love with upon first sight.
Changmin’s solo ballad track, “Confession,” was self-written and features a piano and orchestra that aids in bringing out his strong vocals.  The lyrics express the feelings of a man’s sorrow after having lost his love.
Other tracks include a dance track featuring the rap of Trax’s Jay, “Crazy,” a modern melody of vocal harmonization, “Rumor,” and “Maximum.”
The group will be holding their official comeback performance on December 7th at KBS’s “Music Bank.”

But these are just the accessories. The massive $14 million abode, photographed by Todd Selby, has an arrowhead-shaped pool, spiral staircase, and view of the coastal shore. BEAST - 'Lights go on again' Teaser

The MV teaser for B2ST’s fourth mini-album, “Lights Go On Again,” was revealed on the afternoon of November 8th.
The teaser was a surprise event in anticipation of the full song release on 9th, and is already receiving much attention on various Korean and international message boards.
The two minute long teaser shows off Yong Jun Hyung’s whispery rap and the sweet voices of the other members. As it is a genre that the group has yet to try, the intro showcases the song’s full potential right off the bat.

SNSD’s SeohYun Didn’T waNt To KisS ‘The TraX’

The Trax recently featured a true goddess for their comeback mini-album - SNSD’s Seohyun was chosen as the model for their album cover and music video. Members Jay (vocal) and Jungmo (guitar) revealed behind-the-scenes details about the filming through an interview with Sports Korea:

“I was extremely embarrassed at first because we had a kiss scene planned for the movie, but she continued to reject it. She’s a very polite girl and I’ve known her since we were little, so I guess she felt awkward about it. It’s not like I can force her to do it (laughter). We just kept joking it off, saying it’s because of hubby Yong (CN Blue’s Jung Yonghwa).”

Since their debut, Trax hasn’t showed off a song with such a bright feeling like “Oh! My Goddess”; yet the ethereal theme of the music video and the trendy lyrics seems to work well with their standard style. Jungmo revealed, “We want to get on stage with a new feeling each time. ‘A Man With A Cold Heart’ was a rock ballad, but our latest has a bright, acoustic-like feel to it. I was worried at first about being too trendy, but I’m trying not to be afraid of change. I think that’s the right path to go.”
The group debuted in 2004 with a Japanese style that was unfamiliar to the Korean market. The turning point for the group was their rock ballad release in January. Jay reflected, “If we made a U-turn with ‘A Man With A Cold Heart,’ then ‘Oh My Goddess’ is the accelerator. I want to go as far as possible.” Jungmo added, “There’s a lot of songs that I’m attached to this time around. I assure everyone of the quality as well. There’s nothing more we can wish for other than standing on stage and meeting our fans.”
Jay continued, “Whenever I participate in a musical or a performance about rock music, I learn a lot. I’m rather calm on stage so I needed to learn how to express myself better. I get tired easily stamina-wise, but it still makes me excited at the thought of meeting our fans.” Jungmo concluded, “On broadcasts, our performances are very restricted in that there’s no guarantee that we’re able to play live. There’s no other option but to get out there ourselves and connect with the crowd. Should the opportunity arise, we’d love to hold a live event, touring the country.”

Produk-produk tersebut akan mulai tersedia di pasar mulai minggu depan.
iPod Shuffle terbaru hadir dengan ukuran lebih kecil daripada pendahulunya, namun dengan fitur yang lebih lengkap. Big Bang‘s member, Taeyang, has been busy spending his days promoting his solo album and promoting Big Bang’s new song in Japan.
According to the entertainment, when the Japanese single, Beautiful Hangover, was released on the 25th, he secretly left to Japan with the Big Bang members in order to promote their single.
News about a new single was reported before it came out. But the fact that they were going to promote the single was not known by many of the fans. In order to continue this, Big Bang has decided to carefully promote their single while they are in Japan.
As Taeyang released his international release album, I’ll Be There on the 19th, it was decided that he comes back on the 28th to promote his album. On the 21st, he performed his new song, I’ll Be There on MBC Music Core and plans on performing again on the 28th. On the 29th, he will be performing on SBS Inkigayo and plans on meeting his Korean fans.
The staff who are working with Taeyang said that Taeyang will arrive in Korea on the 28th to promote his album. Even though he’s promoting his solo album and the Japanese single at the same time, he’s always doing his best to please the fans.
With the Japanese single and his solo single, his solo concert, which will be held on September 25th and 26th, is also coming up for him. He doesn’t have a day to rest.
Although he’s busy with promoting as a member of Big Bang and as Taeyang, the results are satisfactory. For the Japanese single, Beautiful Hangover, as soon as it was released, it was ranked in 5th place on the Oricon charts and have shown a very good start for their promotion.
During last June, when they debuted with the single, My Heaven, it was ranked 3rd and was able to have a successful start in their career in the Japanese market. Since then, they’ve released 5 Japanese singles and all of them were ranked 5th place or higher on the Oricon charts.
Taeyang’s solo album, I’ll Be There is currently gaining positive feedback. With a vampire concept that brings out the manliness in Taeyang, him and his dancers perform a very charismatic dance and along with his charming voice, he has once again gained the attention of many fans and those in the music industry.
On the 20th, through Taeyang’s YouTube channel, the music video was posted and 2 days after it was posted, over 100,000 views, and counting, was shown on the page. Also, on the 25th, the number of views of the channel was 124,005,347 and have become a hot issue, not only in Korea but overseas as well. The channel was ranked number 1 for most views and have had very positive feedback.
During October, Big Bang is planning on releasing a new album. It has been reported that they are also working on their new album and have been busy traveling to Korea and Japan. Their second album, Sunset Glow, was released in November of 2008 and it has been 2 years since they have released a Korean album.

Popular music show KBS Music Bank will be shown live across 54 countries on the 27th.
“Live Music Bank K-POP Special” has the concept of seeing Music Bank together with people all over the world, and they will prepare a variety of different programs so that K-Pop lovers from all over the world can enjoy the show. On this day, the show will directly connect to Singapore so that fans in that location can sing along with SHINee to their new song Lucifer. In addition, request videos from viewers in America, Canada, Poland, Netherland, China, India, and Indonesia will be accepted via Youtube and Twitter.
Aside from these new features, there will also be a corner where overseas fans will be able to request encore performances from first place candidates and send cheer messages to favorite singers. Meanwhile, for this spectacular and highly anticipated special, top Korean stars including BoA, SHINee, DJ Doc, Se7en, Homme (Changmin and Lee Hyun), FT Island, Narsha, Secret, Chaeyeon, Jo Sung Mo, Eru, Hwanhee, Sistar, Rainbow, Nine Muses, Cho Shin Sung, G.NA, Navi, Ahn Jin Kyung, JQT, and Goofy will perform.

Konon, kabarnya saat ini J.Lo sudah memasuki taraf pembahasan kontrak dengan pihak American Idol.

Menurut sumber seperti dilansir dari Hollyscoop, Selasa 17 Agustus 2010, istri Marc Anthony itu sedang dalam tahap bernegosiasi untuk putusan kontraknya.

Sejauh ini, dilaporkan negosiasi itu sudah berjalan baik. Tapi, penyanyi bertubuh seksi tersebut tidak sendiri. Pihak American Idol juga sedang melirik dan mencoba mendekati Mariah Carey dan Shania Twain.

Backstreet Boys dan New Kids on the Block, dua boyband AS yang kondang di era 90-an ini mungkin masih tetap lekat di hati beberapa pecinta musik. Tur ini - yang disebut-sebut sebagai Expendables-meets-boy-band - juga mencoba mendapat kolaborasi ketiga, Boyz II Men. Kabarnya ketiga boyband ini akan menggelar tur mulai musim semi mendatang.
