J.Y.J. sets a new record for album and DVD sales

The “Tohoshinki Trio” (JAEJOONG/YUCHUN/JUNSU) set a new record for having both their album and DVD rank first on the ‘Oricon DVD Weekly Chart‘ and ‘Oricon Album Weekly Chart‘ respectively.
JYJ released their first-ever live DVD titled,“THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME“ on September 8th. An astounding 119,000 copies have been sold during its first week of release, resulting in a #1 position on the ‘Oricon DVD Weekly Chart’. Their latest album,「The…」, which was also released on September 8th, dominated the ‘Oricon Album Weekly Chart’ with a position in 1st as well.
The last double accomplishment on the album and DVD chart was set 3 years and 10 months ago by ZARD’s album “Golden Best ～15th Anniversary～” and DVD “ZARD Le Portfolio 1991－2006″.
In terms of the DVDs, DBSK was the first overseas artist who held the record for selling 171,000 copies of “4th LIVE TOUR 2009～The Secret Code～FINAL in TOKYO DOME” (release date: 10.12.09) and 109,000 copies of “TOHOSHINKI VIDEO CLIP COLLECTION－THE ONE－” (release date: 3.29.10).
J.Y.J. is the second overseas artist to sell over 100,000 copies of the DVD.
